About Us
Jagruthi is a dedicated nonprofit organization founded in 1993 in Khammam, Telangana. Our primary mission is to empower marginalized tribal communities and the rural poor by addressing the critical challenges they face in their everyday lives. With a strong focus on women empowerment, child rights, sustainable agriculture, and social security, we work to break the barriers of isolation, poverty, and marginalization. Over the years, we have reached out to thousands of individuals in Khammam and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts, providing them with vital resources, awareness, and support to improve their livelihoods and well-being.
Our holistic approach encompasses various initiatives that focus on social and economic empowerment, ensuring access to health services, education, and government resources. By mobilizing communities and facilitating their self-reliance, we work towards creating a more equitable and inclusive society where every individual has the opportunity to lead a healthy and dignified life. Our Services

Women Empowerment

Support for HIV-Affected Children

Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management
Through our initiatives in sustainable agriculture and natural resource management, we promote practices that safeguard the environment while enhancing food security. We work with local communities to implement watershed development programs, improve water resource management, and adopt eco-friendly agricultural practices that benefit both people and the planet.
Access to Government Resources

Women Empowerment Program

HIV Support and Care Program
Our HIV Support and Care Program provides care, counseling, and medical support to children affected by HIV. Through this program, we help reduce the stigma associated with HIV and provide emotional and psychological support to affected children and their families. We also offer access to healthcare services, educational resources, and community support, ensuring that children living with HIV can lead fulfilling lives and have access to the care they need.
Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management Program
This program aims to promote sustainable farming practices and the efficient use of natural resources to ensure long-term environmental and economic stability. We work with local farmers to introduce eco-friendly agricultural techniques, improve soil health, and enhance water management systems. The program also focuses on watershed development, ensuring that water resources are conserved and used responsibly for both agricultural and domestic purposes.
Community Resource Access Program
Through our Community Resource Access Program, we help marginalized communities gain access to vital resources such as government schemes, health services, and social security benefits. We work closely with local governments, civil society organizations, and community leaders to raise awareness about available services and guide families through the process of accessing them. This program aims to reduce isolation and empower communities to utilize available resources to improve their livelihoods.
Watershed Development and Management Program
The Watershed Development and Management Program focuses on the sustainable management of water resources, particularly in rural and tribal areas. We promote integrated water resource management practices that prevent soil erosion, improve water retention, and enhance agricultural productivity. By working with local communities to create and manage water conservation systems, we ensure that the water needs of households and farmlands are met in a sustainable and environmentally responsible way.
